FITTING

• FITTING SHOULD ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY SUITABLY QUALIFIED PEOPLE
• Check wheel width and diameter are correct for tyre size being fitted
• Check for Drive 'arrows' or if tyres are directional they must be fitted the right way
• Avoid damage to the bead area
• Ensure alloy wheels are not porous. (This is less of a problem with modern alloys)
• Follow ALL Safety procedures for bead seating and inflation

Heavy rain makes or breaks championship hopes in Timaru

Another weekend of wet and dry weather proved tricky for Premier Racing in the South Island.

The conditions were no problem for NZV8 championship leader Angus Fogg however, whose two race wins and one second place helped extend his series lead to 76 points over Jason Bargwanna. The surprise victory went to Hamilton’s Simon Richards, who scored his first win in Race Two, the 12-lap, Top 10 reverse grid race.

“It’s been five years in the making,” said 36-year-old Richards. “I got the right break and then it wasn’t a struggle to [win].”

AJ Lauder dominated the Suzuki Swift Sport Cup series again, winning two of three races. However, Shaun Lawrence’s skill in heavy rain on Dunlop wet tyres paid off and a Race Two win moves him into title contention.

Lauder leads Lawrence by 195 championship points, followed by Cox six points behind in third.
